| Abstract: | A9-item scale to measure employee attitudes toward "cumshaw" (misuse of company time or materials) was developed through the Guttman scaling process. Scores on the experimental version of the cumshaw tolerance scale were then correlated with selected psychological and social-group variables. Differences in cumshaw tolerance were found to be associated with the group variables of age and educational level but occupational groups did not differ significantly in relative cumshaw tolerance.
