Abstract: | Many engineered devices include cylinders because of their inherent strength and symmetry, thereby introducing a need for the view factor for radiative heat transfer between the wall and end of a cylinder. This paper presents a generic evaluation of the view factor that is applicable to a wide variety of calculations of radiative heat transfer. |
