| Abstract: | The concept of science and technology is given and the viewpoint of "regardingscience and technology as the first productive force" expounded. It is claimed that the progressof science and technology is composed of four parts: technical development, technical reform,technical management of production and technical innovation. The technical progress of an enterprise is certainly aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of its products and its labour productivity. In order to achieve technical progrcss for an enterprise, it is essential to establish anew system for technical innovation and set a quantitative goal for technical progress. |
