Development status of laser beam riding guidancemunitions and its application in Russia Ukraine conflict

Laser beam riding guidance is a cost effective mode of photoelectric precision guidance with short range tactical target as the main combat object.In this paper,the basic theories and key technologies of laser beam riding guidance are introduced,the research and equipment status of laser beam riding guidance munitions including gun launched missiles,anti aircraft missiles and anti tank missiles are discussed in detail,the tactical application of laser beam riding guidance munitions in Russia Ukraine conflict is analyzed emphatically,and the future trend of laser beam riding guidance system munitions is prospected.
