Abstract:Conclusions Hardening from the intercritical temperature range for steel 30KhGSA followed by nitriding in a glow discharge provides high hardness and a nitride-layer thickness combined with a low tendency of the base toward brittle fracture.Central Scientific Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy, Sverdlovsk.
