| Abstract: | Formaldehyde undergoes ethylaluminum dichloride-catalyzed ene reaction with jojoba oil to afford a mixture of 1∶1 and 1∶2 adducts. The hydroxymethyl products were identified by comparison with model adducts prepared from methyl oleate and oleyl acetate. |
