Abstract:The effects of different flow fields on filtration flux of tubular ceramic membrane assembles and the hydrodynamics in them are studied experimentally. It is shown from the experimental data that the filtration flux for assemble with inner swirling flow is much larger than that with traditional crossflow. Flow field of liquid would greatly influence the growth of filter cake on the membrane. Increasing the shear stress of liquid at membrane would enhance the filtration flux of assemble, with the treatment capability of the assemble increasing.
