| Abstract: | A Summary review of insulating risers for steel casting is presented in this paper. The action mechanism of insulating risers, the evaluation method for insulating riser sleeves, the characteristics of the materials and the covers used in the sleeves, the preporation and computation of the size of insulating riser sleeves are all introduced and analysed in detail. The computation method for one sided and two sided insulating aids is also introduced in the paper. |
