| Abstract: | This paper presents the calculating method of the undeformed chip in gear shaping based on analyzing the cross sectional area of the uncut chip with single tooth of a shaper cutter, the undeformed chip area of the whole shaper cutter can be found. It is helpful for comprehending the work state of the shaper cutter. |
