On the Formation, Development and Historical Position of Pengzu Culture

Pengzu culture, as a multidimensional culture system, comprises three planes - object, behavior and psychology. Originated in Xuzhou-centered Northern Jiangsu, Pengzu culture is a life science unit, which was initiated by Penzu and has been improved thereafter for the purpose of longevity and healthpreserving by means of cuisine and direction. Exploration and analysis of the apotheosized Pengzu image, the popularization of folkloric Pengzu tales and the enrichment of Pengzu healthcare theory found that Pengzu culture is still of academic and practical values in modern-day life science study and the heritage of traditional culture.
