光纤连接器端面的超声/机械复合研磨

摘    要:介绍了一种引入超声波研磨光纤连接器的新型研磨方式。对这种实验装置进行了简单的介绍,并将这种研磨的结果和普通研磨的结果进行了对比和分析,结果表明这种研磨方式的研磨效率比普通研磨提高了4~8倍,平均表面粗糙度〈3nm.平均回波损耗〈-60dB,平均插入损耗〈0.1dB。

Abstract:The most important aspect in the processing of optical fiber connector is the ultra-precision of endface of the ferrule. This paper discussed a new ultrasonic grinding processing, gave a simple analysis of the mechanism of the new lapping processing, and compared this new grinding processing with the conventional polishing processing. The results show that the grinding efficiency is raised by at least 4-8 times compared to that of processesing, average the surface roughness Ra of the fiber area is smaller than 3nm, the corresponding average return losses is less than - 60 dB and the average insertion losses is down 0.1 dB.
