Abstract:Neutral-Point Clamped (NPC) three-level four-leg active power filter (APF) uses three-dimensional space vector pulse width modulation (3D-SVPWM) strategy can efficiently improve power quality and reduce harmonic content. However, due to its complex topology, the response time is too long during the operation. To solve this problem, a simplified 3D-SVPWM modulation strategy, which by the method of dimension reduction, is proposed. To be determined the trigger pulse signal, this strategy adopts the 3D-SVPWM modulation strategy for the front three-phase bridge arm and the switch sequence control strategy for the N-phase bridge arm through the dimension reduction method. Compared with the traditional modulation algorithm, the new modulation strategy shortens the action time of the computation space vector, reduces the overall response time, and ensures the consistency of the switching timing. The correctness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm are verified by Matlab/simulink simulation results.
