Research of Pressure Vessel Probabilistic Failure Criteria

In this paper, the probabilistic failure criteria for the safety assessment of the pressure vessels were presented. Based on the relevant criteria, it is concluded that the different criteria should be appointed to the vessels with different importance. The failure probability is calculated on the basis of the regular design procedure. Then, in accordance with the classification rules of the pressure vessel, three probabilistic failure criteria were recommended.
