Abstract:Based on the analysis of system structure of smart substation and progress of IEC 61850,the problems existing in current condition monitoring system such as: lack of intelligence in primary equipment,improvement of IEC 61850 and upgrading of conventional condition monitoring equipment are given.In order to promote the practical application of IEC 61850 in condition monitoring system of smart substation and guarantee the smooth transition from existing systems to IEC 61850 systems,a practical and feasible design scheme for condition monitoring system which can access IEC 61850 based intelligent component and conventional condition monitoring equipment as well is proposed.Through studying information model of SF6 circuit breaker condition monitoring system and Abstract communication service etc,a master intelligent electronic device of condition monitoring system which includes communication interface,protocol converter,IEC 61850 client,IEC 61850 model database and IEC 61850 server,etc is designed to implement multi-parameter integrated condition monitoring.
