Sketches the emerging industry in the world in recent years-facility management, stresses the role and status of HVAC in the FM field, and the relationship with its branches including energy management, indoor air quality management and building operating management. Proposes that HVAC design should take FM into account. Especially describes the concept of Life Cycle Cost Design. Also proposes a tentative idea about industrializing FM in China.
