Zur Berechnung und Konstruktion von Verbundelementen und Verbundmaterialien

The paper reports on design methods for 3-layered sandwich elements and for a new textile sandwich core material made of conoid structures. Regarding the structural design of sandwich elements the transferability of a less or more modified DIN 1052 design of timber compound beams is emphasized. Concerning the new core material the calculation of shear and Young's moduli of an equivalent core continuum by means of the membrane shell theory and the FEM is shown. The paper finishes with the disclosure of design items of a new, patented steel-timber-compound construction.
