Abstract: | N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCTS), a kind of biodegradable organic substance, was added to calcium phosphate bone cement (CPC) to produce a composite more similar in composition to human bone. The compressive strength of the new material was increased by 10 times compared with conventional CPC. |
