Computer-aided design of conoid helical-coil compression spring with equal pitch

This paper first reveals the nonlinear relationship between the load and the deformation of conoid helical-coil compression spring with equal pitch,then makes a constrained nonlinear optimization with the function fmincon in MATLAB optimization toolbox,according to the optimization's parameters,uses Pro/E to establish a solid model,and carries on the finite element analysis to verify the effectiveness of optimal design.
