For a long time in the past, the efforts in Implementation and supervision of Information technical standard and system have been very weak, resulting in the separation of planning preparation and GIS application. In the establishment of the information standard for the preparation of the urban planning of Beijing, the ArcSDE spatial data management engine is used with the AutoCAD, ArcDIS and QL Server databases as the technical basis to achieve the goal of spatial data access and management, opening the access to CAD and GIS and completely removing the difficulties in conformity and summary of design information in planning.
