Abstract:An intelligent reactive power compensator with continuous regulation is designed based on S7-200 PLC,which applies the powerful functions of S7-200 to measure the voltage,current and power factor for reactive power compensation.Controlled by S7-200 PLC,the device realizes the step regulation by putting on and cutting off the capacitors while the induction voltage regulator adjusts the voltage of capacitor continuously.According to the power factor of compensation point,the controller chooses different control strategies to maintain the power factor between the setting value and 1.The device has been put into operation with excellent effect.
