Polystyrolaustauscher mit 5-(4-dimethylaminobenzyliden)-rhodanin als ankergruppe für die abtrennung von silber,gold und quecksilber

The distribution coefficients of Ag⁺, Au³⁺, and Hg²⁺ on a polystyrene exchanger with 5-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)-rhodanin as anchor group are determined as function of pH in 0,1 M NaNO₃ as basic solution and after addition of NaCl, NH₄NO₃, Na₂S₂O₃ or NaCN. Ag⁺ ions are bound with relatively high distribution coefficients if the concentrations of NaCl, NH₄NO₃ and NaCN are low. Na₂S₂O₃ interferes even in low concentrations. Au³⁺ and Hg²⁺ ions are bound with relatively high distribution coefficients in the presence of 0.5 M NaCl.
