摘    要:本文简要介绍了ER流体现象及其力学和电学性能,给出了描述ER流体行为的一般理论,提出了ER流体应用中目前存在的主要问题。

Abstract:Electrorheological fluids (ER fluids) are a class of emerging new materials which under a rapid and reversible change in theological behavior under the application of an electric field, Recent developments in both the engineering and science of these materials have resulted in a number of applications for ER devices becoming close to potential commercial exploitation. This paper is brief overview on the ER fluids. The rheology, electrical properties of ER fluids. and theories of ER behavior are given. The main problems which limit usefulness of current ER fluids are presented also.
