Abstract:The following paper focuses on the implementation and operational impact of LoSolids cooking.The development,operational principles,and application methods of this process will be reviewed in the first part of this paper.The latter half of this paper will focus on current results of LoSolids cooking.Specifically,the configuration and operation of the first single vessel hydraulic digester designed for LoSolids cooking is reviewed.This digester was built for Willamette Industries,Inc.Hawesville,KY and began operation on March 5,1997.
