Optimisation of Curing Conditions in Fluorochemical Finishing

Fabrics finished with "repellent" fluorochemicals are water-and soil-repellent as well as stainresistant. Applied on the fabric from aqueous solution, fluorochemical products gain their full oil-and water-repellent effects after drying and curing. To obtain conclusions regarding the effect level of various fluoro-organic systems, Ciba Specialty Chemicals further investigated the drying and curing process. The results provide indications on how to optimize operation of modern drying equipment.
