Slab reversal ＆ transportation vehicle was designed as one of the most important equipment for the ＂new electromagnetic induction furnace＂ building project in a hot rolling factory. This equipment is mainly composed by the body of vehicle and the reversal structure. During the design procedure, there was a comparative design verification on the key structure of the equipment called ＂reversal arm＂ with the method of the classical mechanics of materials and the computer finite element analysis.
