Rebuilding of Permanent Water Intake System of Gaobazhou Water Supply Works

The water intake system was rebuilt after the hydropower plant was put into operation for reducing its operation cost. The original water intake scheme that the water is pumped up from downstream side of Gaobazhou dam is replaced by a new scheme that the water is taken from Gaobazhou reservoir. The layout of new scheme and the selection of pumps are described in detail. After the rebuilding of water intake works, the auto-control level and quality of water supply are improved, and the operation cost is cut down by 41.6% of the past.
