Abstract:The energy density of laser beam should be low to avoid dissolving of WC. when remelting the coating of nickel base alloy coataining 35% WC. The microstructure of the remelted coating is that the block-like WC pha(?) is evenly distributed over the matrix of Ni-Fe-Cr solid solution,CrB and Ni_3B. The coating has higher self-corrosion potential, lower self-eorrosion current density and I(?)tter corrosion resistance because of the higher Cr content in the solid solution. The particle erosion resistance of the coating remelted by laser beam is better than that of the coating remelted by flame or that of the coating sprayed by flame.
