As a newer family in polymer materials,large scale development and study of liquid crystal polymers did not start until 1970s,however from the end of 20th century thdy have become the hotspots in material study as results of their most unique advantages and interaction with information technique,new materials and bioscience.The categories,properties and applications of liquid crystal polymers are briefly explained.The prospect of liquid crystal polymer's molecular-structure design is also revolved.
