摘    要:评价是大学英语课程教学的一个重要环节。长期以来,我国英语教学评价方式以终结性评价为主,忽略了形成性评价。对昆明冶金高等专科学校非英语专业的学生进行了一项为期一学期的实证研究,探索形成性评价对学生英语学习的影响,并提出了相应的教学建议。

Abstract:Assessment is an important component in College English teaching.For years,summative assessment has been the main form of assessment in English teaching and learning in China,while formative assessment has been neglected.The paper applies formative assessment to English teaching and learning in Kunming Metallurgy College.An empirical study lasting for one semester among non-English majors is carried out to explore the impact of formative assessment on students' English learning and some suggestions for English teaching are put forward.
