Application of improved genetic algorithm to determination of economic profit coefficients of optimal allocation of water resources

In order to use the optimal allocation of water resources model, it is necessary to determine the economic profit coefficients. The improved genetic algorithm （GA） was used to compute economic profit coefficients for the optimal allocation of water resources model in Tianjin City. Results show that the improved GA can avoid the disadvantages of the simple GA, such as a premature and lower converging rate. This method indicates that the functional relationship between economic profit coefficients and time agrees with the economic mechanisms and actual conditions, and it is more suitable and feasible than other methods.
