A New System for Inner River Radar Navigation

A design scheme was discussed for inner river radar navigation. The system included On - land radar and image processing unit and on - ship receiving unit, By echo edge data acquisition,the radar image is digitized and the positions of all moving objects were extracted by the computer. These position data is then send to the on - ship receiver unit wirelessly. Therefore the on - ship receiver could obtain a clear and stable (map type)radar image. Prototype system had already been tested and the results were encouraging.
