Abstract: | This paper provides a method for designing ‘optimal’ decentralized controls for linear time-invariant interconnected systems. The optimality is with respect to a quadratic cost criterion. An algorithm is proposed which uses the method of feasible directions and provides a local minimum while ensuring, at each iteration, the stability of the overall system. |
