| Abstract: | Steel Sheet Piles are new environmental-protection and reusable construction steel products. It has many advantages including high strength, light duty, water proof, long durability, high working efficiency and less occupation of the construction area and the application domain of the product are continuously expanding and its market development is extremely rapid. In Japan Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Industries are two main companies for producing the steel sheet piles. This paper introduces the development and application of the steel sheet piles in Japan. |
