| Abstract: | The author briefly expounded the important role of water in landscape gardens from the morphology and charac-teristics of water. Through the systematical analysis of land co-nsolidation, the author compared the water layout art between Chinese and western garden, and discussed the artistic style and their respective characteristics. This paper also discussed the possibility of innovated integration of the two water arts and the development of water layout art in the future. |
