| Abstract: | By the adoption of the Gempak structured packing, the processing capacity of a 200000t/yr light-ends unit was enhanced by 20% and the fractionation efficiency was improved. An application of the Mellapak packing in the vacuum towr of a 3300000t/yr atmospheric-vacuum distillation unit also resulted in an enhancement of capacity by about 18% together with an improvement of the VGO quality. |
