| Abstract: | Appreciable ore loss and dilution are usually encountered in bottom-pillar-free stepped mining due to the presence of ellipsoid particles in the discharged ores. The features of the ellipsoid ore and its effects on the ore loss and dilution are discussed, and measures of resolving the problem recommended in the paper. |
