Improvement of a Differential Method for Metallic Diffraction Gratings by Means of an Integral Method

Abstract:Abstract

It is shown how a result from the integral method for calculating the diffraction from a metallic grating can be used to improve the differential method. The result from the integral formalism can be regarded as a vigorous theoretical basis for those methods that employ surface impedance boundary conditions.
