Time Evolution for a Three-level Atom in Interaction with Two Modes

Abstract:Abstract

The problem of a three-level atom and two modes is treated quantum mechanically and constants of motion are obtained. The evolution operator is calculated for the case of exact two-photon resonance. The probability distribution functions are calculated for the atom in one of its states. Some statistical quantities of the fields and the atomic systems are given. The interaction with squeezed light is investigated.
