| Abstract: | Abstract Analysis of optical fibre directional couplers is made much more accurate by the application of a new improved approximation. By adding another parameter to the modified Gaussian approximation, we are able to quantify optical fibre directional couplers covering the whole single-mode range in a simple and very accurate way. |
