Abstract: | The time evolution of experimental intensity fluctuation distributions of a laser beam propagating through atmospheric turbulence is discussed. Experimental data, collected under conditions ranging from low to strong scintillation, are compared with four theoretical probability-density functions by means of fractional moments. |
