| Abstract: | Abstract A theoretical model is developed to examine light scattered from a curved optical surface with a defined surface form. The contribution of the surface form to scattering patterns is separated from that of the surface roughness. Experiments are carried out on a curved surface. Measurements are analysed and compared with theoretical calculations. The power spectrum density function and the autocorrelation function of the surface roughness are recovered from the measured scattering pattern. |
