广西田阳高岭土理化性能及精细化研究

摘    要:分析广西田阳新发现的硬质高岭土矿特征,通过X衍射、电镜等不同测试手段,研究其矿物组成、化学组分、可塑性、粘浓度、密度、晶体形态等理化性能,在此基础上,对高岭土进行了精细化处理,使其TiO2、Fe2O3质量分数明显降低,白度由原矿的62.1%提高到82.3%,体积平均粒径控制在3~5μm,粒径分布明显改善,达到诸多领域应用条件,为后续开发提供了较详实的基础数据。

Abstract:The mineral characteristics of hard kaolin discovered in Tianyang,Guangxi,were analyzed.The Physical and chemical properties of the kaolin were studied by XRD,SEM,such as mineral and chemical compositions plasticity,viscosity concentration,density and crystal morphology.After refining process the mass fractions of titanium dioxide and iron oxide in refined kaolin decreased significantly,its whiteness increased from 62.1% to 82.3%,its volume average particle diameter was controlled within 3 ~ 5 μm,its particle size distribution improved evidently.So the refined kaolin can meet the requirements to be applied in many different fields.The study provides the detailed basic data for follow-up development of the kaolin.
