| Abstract: | The compound 2BaO.Al2O3.5H2O has been synthesised and studied by infra-red, X-ray and thermal analytical techniques. The compound of approximate formula 2BaO.Al2O3.H2O forms as a dehydration product. The results are interpreted in terms of the known structure. |
