Abstract: | Pure barium titanate was made into a glass by flame-spraying and after sufficient comminution was processed into specimens and fired. During this firing the glass devitrified to tetragonal barium titanate and contained crystals of sizes from 0.5 to below 0.2μ. The small crystals exhibit Curie temperatures from 120° to above 185°C. The dielectric Curie temperature of the devitrified ceramic is 150° to 155°C. |
