稀土元素对玻璃纤维增强PTFE复合材料拉伸性能的影响

摘    要:三种表面改性剂,即硅烷偶联剂SG-Si900(SG)、含 SG-Si900的稀土溶液(SGS/RES)和稀土溶液(RES)用于玻璃纤维表面处理.研究了不同表面处理条件下玻璃纤维增强聚四氟乙烯(GF/PTFE)复合材料的拉伸性能,并应用SEM对断口形貌进行了分析.试验结果表明:由于稀土元素的作用,稀土溶液RES比SGS/RES和SGS能够更好地提高玻璃纤维与PTFE之间的界面结合力;经RES处理的GF/PTPE复合材料的界面结合力主要受稀土元素含量的影响,当稀土元素含量为0.2~0.4Wt%时,GF/PTFE复合材料的拉伸性能大大提高,并且在稀土元素含量为0.3wt%时其性能最佳.

Abstract:Three types of surface modifiers, i.e. silane coupling agent SG-Si900 (SGS), a solution of rare earth elements containing SG-Si900 (SGS/RES), and a solution of rare earth elements (RES) were used for the surface treatment of glass fiber. The tensile properties of glass fiber reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (GF/PTFE) composites under the different surface treatment conditions were investigated, and the fracture surfaces were analyzed by employing SEM. The experimental results show that RES is superior to SGS/RES and SGS in promoting interfacial adhesion between the glass fiber and PTFE due to the effects of rare earth elements. Meanwhile, the interfacial adhesion of the GF/PTFE composites treated with RES is mainly affected by the content of rare earth elements. The tensile properties of the GF/PTFE composites can be improved considerably when the content of rare earth elements is 0.2-0.4wt%, and the optimum performance of the GF/PTFE composites obtained is at 0.3wt% RE content.
