| Abstract: | Faraday magneto-optical isolators can effectively elinminate harmful optical feedback which are widely used in modern laser systems such as frequency stabilized laser, laser communication and laser intelligence processing and so on. Presented in this paper, are the principel of Faraday magnetooptical isolator, its typical construction, the function and requirements of its components and the characteristics of Faraday magneto-optical materials. The principle and configuration of tunable and wideband isolators are described and the international isolator market is briefly viewed as well. |
