Large lightweight Dinas brick for the high-temperature regenerators of blast furnaces

Conclusions The optimum technological parameters and charge arrangements were determined for the production of standard-size and large irregular-shape lightweight Dinas bricks for the heat insulation of the hightemperature zones of the regenerators of blast furnaces of a capacity of 5000 m³.The large irregular-shape lightweight bricks are in production in Section No. 2 of the Pervoural'sk Dinas Plant for the Krivoi Rog Metallurgical Plant.The physicochemical properties of the bricks meet the requirements of GOST 5040-68 for brick of apparent density 1.2 g/cm³.Translated from Ogneupory, No. 3, pp. 7–14, March, 1976.
