Strategies of Environmental Protection and Community Affairs of South America-A Case Study of Ecuador Project

Taking Ecuador project in South America for example,this article analyzes the environmental and community risks of oversea projects under the signed modified oil service contracts,such as prolonged environmental permit approval,handling historical pollution,licenses for new oil activities in protection area,community compensations and social conflicts.Project management planning is used for environmental permit approval acceleration;historical environmental liability is classified through environmental auditing;licenses for oil activities in protection areas can be granted by fulfilling contract commitment;work can be promoted by communicating with the government and taking advantage of the government work;compliance of law is the weapon to solve social conflicts.All these measures shall lay the foundation for continuous and stable project development.
