Art of Spatial Scale Planning

This paper introduces the practice of spatial scale planning in small mountainous towns. Yulandao by Vanke, a residential project in Chongqing. With the combination of high-, multiple- and low-rise architectures, the project controls the spatial scale from the three aspects of laneways, house groups and central public space. It embodies the typical integration of living, human interest and mountainous town features in the residence de-sign with high plot ratio.
