This article briefly outlines the background and necessity of reliability appraisal of existing curtain wall, and introduces the technique and policy basis of the appraisal, and the procedures of checking and identification. It introduces the main contents of the appraisal, which include the check and test of the component materials, the check and test of the structure and composition, the design and bearing capacity check and so on. The study carries on the test case analysis of structural silicon sealant, and introduces two methods of the laboratory test of structural silicon sealant, moreover, obtains and analyzes the main test parameters including tensile strength, elongation rate, shore hardness, and mass loss rate.
